Carol Archer
Carol Archer is an associate professor of urban and regional planning and public policy with over twenty-five years of experience in management, education, training, and research in a multidisciplinary and international setting. Over the years, she developed a philosophy of leadership and scholarship that is motivational, transformational, visionary, and deeply rooted in teamwork. Archer has published on issues relating to urban planning, housing, urban governance, local government reform, public policy and community development. She is the author and co-author of several book chapters, journal articles and technical reports and has delivered scholarly presentations, keynote addresses, and represented the University of Technology, Jamaica in various arenas. She has also presented at more than 50 international conferences addressing issues of housing, land management, and community development. She developed and delivered courses in areas such as intergovernmental relations, urban governance, community development, housing, comparative politics, political theory, urban planning theory and practice, regional geography, political development in Latin American and the Caribbean, public policy and public administration at the graduate and undergraduate levels, among others.
